Membership is open to experienced choral singers who follow an Earth-based spiritual tradition such as Wicca, Druidry, or Heathenry and to those who are “Pagan-friendly.” Attendance at an open rehearsal and/or an audition is required.
Performances include our annual 12th Night Concert and Viking Feast, a fall and spring concert, and a related Friends & Family Concert in April.
Rehearsals are held weekly on Monday nights from 7:30-9:30 PM at the Sixth Avenue United Church of Christ, on the corner of E. 6th Avenue & Adams St. in Denver. In addition, there is usually a monthly Sunday afternoon. Attendance at all rehearsals is required.
Computer and internet access is necessary. Most of our communication is handled through our private Yahoo group. This group site also contains the rehearsal and performance calendar and other files of interest.
We also maintain an active library of our musical scores via MuseScore, a free music program. An invitation to our Yahoo group and the MuseScore download will be sent to you after you membership is confirmed.
Dues are currently $25 per month ($300 a year) and are required. Dues cover the cost of rehearsal space, accompanist fees, performance venues and other expenses. They are payable in cash, by check, or with a credit card and may be paid in advance. Dues may be tax-deductible; check with your tax professional.
Music fees for are usually between $25-35 per concert. You own the music! Every effort is made to keep that fee as low as possible, while observing copyright and other legal restrictions.
Concert attire is usually “festive Pagan black” with the addition of our signature stole, which is provided, and a full length, hooded black cloak, which is not provided.
